Coaltown Dixie will perform live on the Pike County Courthouse Stage on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 5:00 PM during Pikeville Hillbilly Days 2026. Admission is free.

If you love bluegrass music, you will not want to miss Coaltown Dixie, a celebrated all-female bluegrass band from the Appalachian hills of Eastern Kentucky. Known for blending traditional Appalachian roots with a fresh, vibrant energy, the group has built a strong following since forming in 2009.

Inspired by the rich musical heritage of the mountains, Coaltown Dixie carries a sound that honors tradition while bringing its own dynamic style to the stage. The band takes its name from Dixie Hatfield, the great-grandmother of the group’s bass player and a former coal camp boarding house manager, giving their identity a meaningful connection to Appalachian history and culture.
